Louisiana Epsilon Celebrates Founders Day in Shreveport

On Friday, March 14, 2008, four of the active members in the chapter along with three Baton Rouge Alumni made an appearance in Shreveport for the SAE Alumni Association Luncheon. As updates were given across the realm from one member from the chapters at Nichols, Rhodes and Louisiana Tech, Louisiana Epsilon made its presentation with our Alumni updates and database construction as well as presenting a ten minute film on the status of the members of its chapter. The Alumni present at the Luncheon representing both Louisiana and Texas chapters, enjoyed a well prepared meal and good fellowship.
Dr. Gene St. Martin spoke to all the members about how important it is to stay in contact with your corresponding chapters and feel the shared joy of the chapter's existing members. Dr. St. Martin took time to remember those who were recently admitted into the chapter eternal and spoke high recognition to the current members and the success of the Alumni form the Louisiana Chapter. He also spoke to the power of the True Gentlemen as it applies to the life of its members today making sure.
Updates were given by Peter Davis on the current status of the housing core at LSU and their plans to take Louisiana Epsilon to the next level. Paul Provenza spoke to the members about the updating the Alumni Database with the most current information. Dr. Denny spoke to the Louisiana Epsilon alums about the recent history of our chapter. Derek Mitchell reveal a recent status of the chapter and fall/spring recruitment as well as informing the Alumni of our Philanthropy: SAE Splashdown. David Bayard mediated and commentated the video that was presented to the members present at the meeting.All in all, everyone was excited to see how Louisiana Epsilon has risen from the ashes to become one of the most prominent fraternities on LSU's campus reliving the top status that the chapter held in previous decades. "Meeting the Alumni has been more rewarding and beneficial then most of them can realize." We need their support simply by staying in contact through the Lion's Paw and members of the current chapter, and also attending Alumni Events for their own benefit to relive the good time they had in SAE.
